DSS Lied, They Never Raided My House – Justice Liman Tells Lawmakers

The House of Representatives committee undertaking a public hearing on the raid conducted by men of the DSS were left in shock after Justice Abdullahi Liman of the Federal High Court said the security agencies lied against him.

Justice Abdullahi Liman of the Federal High Court, Port Harcourt has shocked members of the House of Representatives Adhoc Committee undertaking a public hearing of the raid carried members of the Department of State Security (DSS) on the houses of some judges in Nigeria when he said that contrary to media reports and insinuations by the DSS, that no raid was carried out on his residence.

He made the shocking revelation while making an appearance before the committee at the National Assembly Complex on Wednesday.

Justice Liman said that the raid was actually carried out on the residence of Justice Mrs. Uche Agomoh and not his residence.

He also debunked media report by the DSS that $2m was allegedly “removed” from “his house to an unknown place,” with the aid of Governor Nyesom Wike and the security agencies.

“Mr. Chairman, I must state categorically that the SSS did not come to my house, which is No. 33 but it was the house of Justice U. Agomoh they targeted”, he revealed.

He accused the DSS of trying to tarnish his image by circulating false information against him.

“The Sahara Reporters however, set the tone of the narrative by identifying the unknown Judge to be Justice Abdullahi M. Liman and this triggered an unending cascade of misinformation and disinformation,” he said.

He added: “Mr. Chairman, I feel pained by this frightening event, especially the denigration of my reputation that followed the unending negative publications aimed at socially and professionally destroying me completely."
