Fayose at 56: 4 CRAZIEST Things He Has Done as Governor (Photos+Video)

Before we launch into some of the crazy controversial things he has done during his tenure as Ekiti state governor, let us take a quick look at the man himself.
His full name is Peter Ayodele Fayose, he was born on November 15, 1960. He grew up in Oyo state where he attended Olivet Baptist high school, Oyo.

He is married to Feyisetan Fayose and he became the second executive governor of Ekiti on May 29, 2003 after he defeated defeating the incumbent Governor Niyi Adebayo.
However, he could not complete his tenure, for he was impeached on October 16, 2006. However he came back in 2014 under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and since then has been one of Nigeria’s most controversial governors.
Here are some truly crazy things he has done:
1. He once arrested a cow
Fayose facing a herd of cows
Now the above picture is no joke, Governor Fayose once arrested a real live cow. So here is the full story: In August 2016, Ekiti state passed an anti-grazing law, preventing herdsmen from grazing cattle on their land.
On Wednesday, October 12 2016, on his way to Ikole Ekiti, in Ekiti state, Governor Fayose came upon some herdsmen grazing. Upon sighting the governor and his security detail, the herdsmen abandoned their cattle and fled.
The Ekiti state governor alighted from his car and together with some youths and his security they gave chase. They were able to catch a cow, whom the Governor ordered was to be detained.

2. Fayose gave out bags of rice branded with his name

On June 2, 2016 as the rains threatened to begin Fayose was spotted at Okeyinimi area of Ekiti state. He was doing something that has come to be called stomach infrastructure in the lingo of Nigerian politics.
Residents of Irona and Okeyinmi Area of Ado Ekiti trooped out in the evening of that day and found the governor sharing bags of rice with his name branded on them. Not long after he kicked off the distribution in Okeyinmi area, it started raining, but the governor stayed put and kept the distribution going.

3. Fayose bought food by the road side
On May 24, 2016, Governor Ayodele Fayose pulled off another of  his famous stunts. On that Tuesday, while going to visit the Oke-Ako community that was attacked by suspected Fulani herdsmen, he stopped his convoy to buy bread and beans in public.
Now, one really crazy thing was he did not wait for the seller to do the selling, he went ahead and dished what he wanted himself. His presence as expected drew a lot of people to the small restaurant where he was buying food.
4. Fayose arming hunters
On Monday, May 24 2016 he met with local hunters in the Oke-Ako area of the state telling them to be battle ready to confront any Fulani herdsman found grazing cattle anywhere in the state.

The governor addressed the hunters hours after he banned cattle grazing in the state in response to the killing of two people by suspected herdsmen. He then promised that he would raise money for the hunters and give them vehicle to prepare for the coming war.
